Flashmute

Ever go to a website that has music playing in the background? Ever want that sound to go away? Ever been playing a flash game, but it has annoying sounds and you wish you could shut them off, but the guy who made the game didn’t make a volume or mute button? Then you need Flashmute

Flashmute sits in your system tray, and works just like your Windows volume control, except it works for your browser. You can keep it muted or just turn it down low. You can make it mute just flash, or you can make it mute your whole browser.

Also, instead of it running in your system tray, you can have it run as a shortcut key instead, but then it just mutes or unmutes. Once I’ve used Flashmute, I don’t know how I could go without it.

You can download it here.

Works on almost all browsers:

  • Internet Explorer
  • Netscape
  • Firefox
  • Mozilla
  • Opera

Yeah… I hate when websites do that. You never put music and sound effects on your website, its just plain crap.

Flashmute is a good program, but sometimes it just blocks things that you done want to.
